The Foundation for Southeast Texas will award a total of $135,000 to 75 nonprofit organizations in Hardin, Jefferson and Orange Counties. The grants range from $500 to $5000. The Foundation received valid applications from 111 organizations. The Grants Committee reviewed each application and made recommendations to the Board of Directors for final approval.
In its seventeenth year of awarding competitive grants, the Foundation is pleased to make these grants to deserving local charities. Grants will be awarded to organizations representing the arts, culture, preservation, health, social services, youth, elderly and civic affairs and in all communities within the three counties. A list of recipients will be available at the ceremony.
The mission of the Foundation for Southeast Texas is “to make a positive difference in the quality of life in the area by encouraging philanthropic gifts and by assisting the donors in achieving their charitable goals through the professional management and considered and caring distribution of such gifts.”
