OneStar's Organizational Profile
One of the tools available to organizations that are connected on our Web site is the Organizational Profile. The Profile is a brief survey that creates a "snapshot" of your organization's basic information and only takes a few minutes to complete. By completing the Organizational Profile, you will be eligible to receive notification of opportunities, such as:
- Organizational excellence scholarships to build the capacity of your organization, including organizational assessments, trainings, consulting, conferences and other professional development activities;
- Funding announcements and events related to national service and volunteerism; and
- Chances to participate in important research on the needs and trends of the social sector and its stakeholders.
Even if you have received grants or scholarships from OneStar in the past, a completed Organizational Profile is required to be eligible for future opportunities. For more information about the Organizational Profile, please visit our Web site.
OneStar is excited to introduce our new blog. Watch for weekly posts on a variety of topics related to the nonprofit world. Our blog can be found here. We look forward to reading your comments!
Update on 2009 Governor's Volunteer Awards
The Governor's Volunteer Awards (GVA) have a long tradition of recognizing those in our state who devote their time and talents to serving others. This year, OneStar is combining GVA with our Governor's Nonprofit Leadership Conference (GNLC), which will give conference participants the opportunity to meet with and honor the 2009 GVA award winners at the December 9 ceremony. Stay tuned for details, which will be coming in future newsletters and on the GVA section of our Web site. Those interested in nominating someone for the 2009 awards may be interested in reading about our 2008 winners and their acts of service here.
