Be our Valentine!
Press Release

February, 2009

Will you be our Valentine?
Southwest Key’s College Connections Program currently serves 20 low-income seniors from the East Austin area.  We offer academic tutoring, SAT and ACT test preparation, financial aid workshops, college campus tours, a summer program working with Boys & Girls Club youth, and most importantly, one-on-one individualized attention and mentoring.
Seventeen of our 20 students have already received acceptance letters from major universities such as UT Austin, UT Arlington, UTSA, University of North Texas, Texas State and Ohio Wesleyan University!  Each student will be the first in their families to attend college.
The next few months are crucial for the program as we help the students secure the financial aid, scholarships and grants that will make it possible for them to attend college.
We are asking friends of Southwest Key to please support the College Connections Program and help keep our students on the college track!  We appreciate donations of any amount.
Southwest Key Programs is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations to the program are fully tax-deductible.  For more information on the College Connections Program, please visit our website or contact Dr. Nellie Cantu at 512-462-2181. On behalf of our students and their families, thank you for your generosity and for making a difference in the lives of our hard-working students.
