During the entire month of April, ALON 7-Eleven stores in the Abilene, Lubbock, Midland-Odessa, Waco and Wichita Falls markets will host an in-store promotion on by which it will sell paper torches to symbolize support for Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) athletes. The paper torches are available for purchase at all locations in participating ALON 7-Eleven markers for $1 at the checkout counter, and can be personalized with the buyer’s name or the name of a loved one they want to honor. The promotion will run from April 1-30.
Funds raised will go toward providing quality sports competition for nearly 4,000 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the participating regions.
Since 2012, ALON 7-Eleven stores in the Abilene, El Paso, Midland-Odessa, Lubbock, Waco, and Wichita Falls markets have combined to raise $234,808 for Special Olympics Texas through various point of sale promotions.
The El Paso market will run its promotion during the month of July.
“We are very thankful for the dedicated support ALON 7-Eleven has given our athletes over the years and we are grateful that they have chosen to sponsor our athletes again in 2017,” said Rick Brown, Vice President of Resource Development for Special Olympics Texas.
