Volunteer Saturday with Central Catholic High School was phenomenal!

A REALLY BIG THANK YOU to Central Catholic students for their successful Volunteer Day at Project MEND.

It was damp and drizzly outside, but inside at Project Mend’s Warehouse at 1201 Austin Street, dozens of Central Catholic Guardian Angels selflessly provided a few hours out of their Saturday to help Project Mend clean walkers, wheel chairs, bed railings, roller wheels, and more. According to Joe Talamantez, Warehouse Manager, the support of these young men helped Project MEND to complete a project that has long been underway. “This has been a huge benefit to us.  We’ve been shorthanded on volunteers and it is such a blessing to be able to have this group of teenagers from Central Catholic High School to come and assist us to get the job done,” said Joe.  Students from all grade levels represented Central Catholic on Saturday, March 11, taking time out of their Spring Break to demonstrate that they are truly willing and able to put service before self during these 40 days of Lent, and provide a great representation of the Central Catholic community.

Our next volunteer Saturday is April 8.  Groups from WellMed and IBC will be in attendance.  If you are interested in volunteering, or having a group volunteer, please click here.

Volleyball Fundraiser is a HUGE Success

Thanks to Alamo Area Home Care Council for a fantastic Volleyball FUNraiser on behalf of Project MEND.  Amigo Partners ROCK!  $2085.00 Raised for Medical Equipment Program.

Your donations of gently used medical equipment, monetary donations and volunteer time make a HUGE difference in the lives of individuals living with disability and illness.  Behind each gift, there is a real face, a real person, with a real story.  Thank you for changing lives by providing mobility, independence and improved quality of life.  Your donation matters.
Please consider a gift to Project MEND by donating today or watch for a donation opportunity on May 4, 2017 during the Big Give SA.  Watch for communication updates on our Facebook page.
