Special Olympics Texas

June, 2016

CARisma Wash will host “Social Saturday”, a special day for customers to focus on Special Olympics Texas (SOTX), on Saturday, June 18 from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The public is encouraged to stop by at any of its three locations (505 N Loop West, 4510 Telephone Rd. and 5203 Kirby Dr.) to enjoy free food and beverages, dunk tanks and entertainment.

Members of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), SOTX’s grassroots fundraiser, will be on hand for the fun and will be selling LETR t-shirts, as a means to raise funds for SOTX athletes.

Participating agencies include: Drug Enforcement Administration, Harris County Constable Precinct 1, Houston Police Department, Memorial Village Police Department, Missouri City Police Department, Rice University Police Department and the West University Police Department

In addition, during the entire month of June, CARisma Wash customers can make a donation to SOTX while purchasing a cash wash on any of the electronic kiosks. Proceeds will provide programming and training for more than 9,900 children and adults with intellectual disabilities living in the Greater Houston area.

For more information about this event, contact Laila Zaka (lzaka@sotx.org) at 713.290.0049 ext. 234.
