In honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc. will host a Child Abuse Prevention Assembly to bring together leaders and decision-makers in San Antonio to discuss how we play a role in preventing child abuse and neglect in our community. To raise awareness, Methodist Healthcare Ministries will plant 4,941 pinwheels in the ground to represent each confirmed victim of child abuse last year in Bexar County.

WHAT: Child Abuse Prevention Assembly – an exclusive event where notable leaders will speak to how this issue is affecting our community and what solutions to implement. Prior to the assembly, a memorial of 4,941 pinwheels will be planted in the front lawn to represent each victim of child abuse/neglect in Bexar County. After the assembly, there will be a networking opportunity with educational handouts.
