THE CARING PLACE RAISES FUNDS FOR COATS FOR KIDS
THROUGH AMPLIFY AUSTIN
Georgetown, TX - Voted "The Best Place to Volunteer and Give" in Georgetown for the past five years, The Caring Place has partnered with Amplify Austin to raise funds toward its $30,000 goal for Coats For Kids.
Amplify Austin is a 24-hour day of online giving for Austin and the surrounding counties that starts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8. The idea is to see how much money can be raised for great local causes in this short window of time. Additionally, gifts made through Amplify Austin will be amplified by incentive matching dollars from Amplify's generous sponsors.
"Twenty dollars will buy a new coat for a child in need," said Ginna O'Connor, The Caring Place Executive Director. "We are fortunate to have the support of such a generous community, and I believe that our ambitious $30,000 goal is achievable."
Last year, The Caring Place provided 1809 coats for children. "There is definitely a need and if we can raise $30,000, we'll be able to provide even more coats for children during the 2016 holiday season," said Rita Turner, The Caring Place Community Engagement Manager.
The Caring Place is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, serving its clients and communities by responding to the basic human needs of people in Georgetown and rural Williamson County.
