September, 2015

Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon on the greens with your buddies and celebrate the legacy of a legend. The fourth annual Joe Avezzano Memorial Golf Tournament, held by Special Olympics Texas and the Law Enforcement Torch Run, comes to Riverchase Golf Clubin Coppell on Thursday, Oct. 1.  Shotgun time for the four-man scramble is set for 1:00 p.m.

Registration is now open and can be completed here. The fee is $175 per player and $600 for a foursome.

Check-in time for golfers is at 11:30 a.m. and will be followed by lunch from In-N-Out Burger at noon. Dinner will be provided by Pollo Tropical after the tournament.

Once all golfing is complete, prizes will be awarded during dinner.

Former Dallas Cowboys Special Teams Coach Joe Avezzano was an avid supporter of Special Olympics Texas. He served on the SOTX board for two years and faithfully returned each year to celebrate the Summer Games and the Law Enforcement Torch Run with SOTX athletes.  This golf tournament will help continue his legacy as a great friend to Special Olympics Texas.
