Board Members and Executive Directors of nonprofits are invited to join us for our 4th annual board day on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. This year's workshop is Governance as Leadership: Reframing the Work of Nonprofit Boards. This workshop is made possible by the Association of Fundraising Professionals San Antonio Chapter, Masters Leadership Program of Greater San Antonio and the San Antonio Area Foundation.
Our guest speaker is Dr. Richard P. Chait, Professor Emeritus at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Co-Author of Governance as Leadership. During this workshop, Dr. Chait will introduce three distinct but related aspects of governance - fiduciary, strategic and generative. Best practices for boards to govern more effectively and efficiently will be discussed.
