Register for our Level II Driving Clinic: The Therapeutic Driving Program
SpiritHorse Level II Driving Clinic: The Therapeutic Driving Program to be held in October 5th-9th.
SpiritHorse will provide hands on instruction for the aspiring Therapeutic Driving Instructor. Attendees will experience training in special needs equipment such as the mechanical lift, easy access carts, Meadowbrook carts and special needs carts. We have a variety of horse and pony breeds for driving.
Attendees will learn about various disabilities and their consideration during therapy, as well as assist with actual lessons. Foundations of training and schooling the therapeutic driving horse will be covered as well as harnessing and hitching. Our staff is experienced with all disabilities and can provide an excellent educational opportunity to further your center's mission."We look forward to helping you expand your current therapy program and offering mentorship for new driving programs".
Sidewalkers Needed Fall 2015 Riding Session
Our Fall 2015 Riding Session will begin in September and we need volunteers. Sidewalking for our precious riders is one of the most rewarding and important volunteer jobs at SpiritHorse! Fall Harvest Festival at SpiritHorse Saturday, October 24, 2015
Polo on the Midway Benefiting SpiritHorse hosted by the Prestonwood Polo Club October 31, 2015 2:00-6:00 p.m.. Polo fun and Fall festival for the whole family. Tickets will be $25 per adult, kids are free. Will have more information next month.
