On Saturday February 21, Austin Children’s Services, formerly Austin Children’s Shelter, invites you to Flashback, a retro dance party! Jason and Deb from 101X will host the annual 80s/90s themed dance party from 8 p.m.-12 a.m. downtown at the Parish (214 E. 6th St.). James Leary, from the hit 90s TV series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer,’ will emcee the event.
Flashback has more than just retro hits: it will also feature a costume contest, dance contest, photo booth, silent auction and much more. All proceeds from the event benefit Austin Children’s Services. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased through http://www.acsflashback.org/. The music from the 80s/90s that you love - and love to hate - is returning for one ‘thriller night’!
Austin Children’s Services provides emergency shelter and other critical care to children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse/neglect. In 2014, we provided 93 kids with warm beds, full meals, and a safe space for them to begin to heal. The assurance and safety we provide to these kids is not possible without the support of our community and what better way to show your support than through a retro dance party?!
