International Exotic Animal Sanctuary News

While Timmy may not be the biological brother of Tommy and Tuffy, he has already found his niche within the new family. The three cubs are getting along wonderfully, spending their days as an adorable trio. We just love to see them playing and napping together. They even come running to us together in one of the cutest stampedes you'll ever see when it comes time to eat!

With a complete and nutritious diet, all three of these rambunctious boys are growing fast! They're getting stronger and more adventurous by the day. Their climbing, swimming, and digging skills are being practiced regularly, and they are learning more and more about being bears every day.

One of the most rewarding things to see is the affectionate sides of Timmy, Tommy, and Tuffy grow and develop. We've been spending lots of time with these cubs as part of the Emotional Enrichment Program, and the positive effects are clear. Tuffy, in particular, will relax with his head resting on the arm of Louis Dorfman, our Animal Behaviorist. It's wonderful to see how far these bears have come since their arrival and introduction!

Duchess
Female Cougar
Born: September 8, 2004
Rescued: March 8, 2011

Duchess is as wild as they come! She is certainly one of the most instinctual cats at IEAS. She loves to stalk and sneak up on unsuspecting passersby, and she's great at it! She moves silently just as cougars do! Happy 10th Birthday, Duchess!

Mau
Male Cheetah
Born: September 21, 2003
Rescued: February 23, 2004

We love to refer to Mau as the "King of the Sanctuary," especially when he is perched atop his favorite hill. From there, he can keep his keen eyes on everything going on at IEAS! He loves to keep tabs on all of us! Happy 11th Birthday, Mau!

Prince
Male Bengal Tiger
Born: September 23, 2004
Rescued: March 8, 2011

Prince is a very proud tiger, but he will turn into a cub when it comes time to play with his companion, Princess. Usually, one of them sneaks up on the other and pounces, letting the other know it's time to play! We hope they have a blast playing on Prince's birthday! Happy 10th!
