CCGD Announces 2014-15 Season Auditions and 2014 Summer Singing Camp
2014-15 Season Auditions

Love to sing? Audition for the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas, the official children’s chorus of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and one of America’s largest and most prestigious youth choral programs! Boys and girls and young men and women entering grades 4-12 are eligible to audition for the four children’s and two youth choruses. A highlight of next season will be CCGD performing in three separate productions with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Auditions take place in May and are by appointment only. Current CCGD singers and families - don't forget about our Recruitment Tuition Credit program! For each CCGD family that enrolls a new singer, the recommending CCGD family will receive a $75 credit to be applied to their tuition next season. Please help to spread the word about our auditions!

2014 Summer Singing Camp

CCGD is now accepting registrations for its Summer Singing Camp, which takes place June 9-13, 2014 at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, located in Dallas’s downtown arts district. Students who are currently in grades 3-7 are eligible to attend. Tuition for this program is $125. Tuition is waived for students enrolled in the Dallas Independent School District, although a refundable $25 holding fee is required which is refundable at the end of camp. Summer Singing Camp consists of two week-long, half-day sessions which culminate in a performance that is free and open to the public. The camp will be led by three members of CCGD’s artistic staff: Cynthia Nott, Kimberley Ahrens, and Michael Chandler. Students wishing to register for Summer Singing Camp will find the registration form located online HERE. No audition is necessary.

Join CCGD's Downtown Choruses in a program featuring American choral music, including works by Aaron Copland and Randall Thompson. Kimberley Ahrens, Nora Henson, Cynthia Nott, Kelly Pfaffenberger, and Terrie Preskitt-Brown conduct. The concert also features the talents of a jazz trio from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. We hope to see you there!
