Join us on Saturday, Nov. 2 for Kingdom for Kids XII celebration
Winston School San Antonio

October, 2013

Since the 1990’s, Rick Cavender has worked tirelessly with the “Downtown” Rotary Club of San Antonio committee to promote and orchestrate an annual timeline for hundreds of volunteers to install beautiful, state-of-the-art playscapes at schools and nonprofit organizations for San Antonio children.  The Winston School San Antonio is honored to be the recipient of Kingdom for Kids XII.

On Saturday, November 2, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., two shifts of volunteers will be coordinated by City Year San Antonio.  Volunteers will help assemble new playground equipment, beautify the 16-acre campus and host a Health and Fitness fair for the students of WSSA.  Tommy Keese of Keese Landscape and Dr. Bill Bauta will coordinate landscaping enhancements.  Darrell Lawson of Creative Components is overseeing the playground equipment installation.  City Year is hosting the Health and Fitness Fair.  After construction is complete, a ribbon cutting and festival with live music, family activities and booths will celebrate donors to Kingdom for Kids XII.

Families, friends and neighbors of The Winston School San Antonio are invited to participate.  To volunteer, contact
