is looking for new instructors to teach in our Writers in Neighborhoods and Schools
(WINS) enrichment program for children, youth, and families.
The Writer's Garret connects with people
out in the community through
Writers in Neighborhoods & Schools (WINS). WINS places professional writers into
schools, after-school programs, and community organizations to engage children
and adults in
the literary arts. Writers will work directly with educators and school children
in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex following a paid apprenticeship training. These
are occasional and part-time contract positions for reliable, practicing writers
with a strong understanding of the interplay of reading and writing and
its impact on the educational experience.
