Boutique Hosts Another Benefit

       This Thursday!

                  August 22, 2013, 6-8 p.m.
Los Patios, 2015 NE Loop 410
                          (210) 590-4844

Salado Creek Boutique is again providing an amazing shopping experience for some deserving Alpha Home alumnae and clients, as well as our supporters. Thoughtful Alpha Angels donated toward $100 vouchers to be presented to select Alpha Home outpatient clients or alumnae. Because of markdowns made by boutique proprietor Gary Wright, a voucher will allow them to purchase $200 to $400 of clothing! Our ladies are so grateful to Mr. Wright, his wonderful family and sales staff, and the generous Alpha Angels!

Alpha Home supporters, our staff, and Board members are invited to attend this special event and receive a 20% discount on any purchase. No donations are required to attend.

What Alpha means to me:

"Alpha has saved my life. I was lost and broken. God led me here to a safe haven where I felt love, acceptance, comfort and serenity. Through the classes offered and tools obtained I've learned how to live a new life. I am blessed and grateful to begin my new sober and spiritual journey. Thank you Alpha and to all its wonderful caring staff."   Karol H.

Zachry Holdings Helps Out
 Zachry
The Zachry Holdings Care Team of 33 terrific volunteers came on Saturday, August 3rd, and painted the upstairs (interior) at the Mulberry home. This energetic and highly organized group of warm-hearted volunteers worked hard and displayed their enthusiasm. The finished areas look beautiful, and the residents feel treasured! Paint was donated by Paint Drops, Inc., and food and coffee for our volunteers were furnished by Mama Margie's and Starbucks. We are truly grateful to all who made this a successful project!
Client Birthdays Celebrated!

The Inspire Women's Ministry of Bethel International Christian Fellowship will start a new tradition at Alpha Home with monthly Birthday Celebrations for our residential clients. All birthdays in the month will be celebrated together, and Inspire will give each birthday girl a gift bag of goodies and a picture frame!

Second Year Seal from CARF Received

Alpha Home received the second of three seals from CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). This confirms Alpha Homes continuing conformance with CARF's demanding standards and the commitment to ongoing performance excellence. In 2012, CARF accredited Alpha Home's residential and outpatient treatment programs and the Family First program for three years, the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization. CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body that establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.

Another Successful Alumnae School Supply Drive!

The Alumnae Annual Celebration & Reunion, held on August 3rd, was also the Alumnae Support Group's annual school supply drive. The school supply drive helps the families of Alpha clients and Alumnae. Supplies were distributed on August 12th, after the Alumnae group meeting and right on time for the beginning of school.
The Alumnae meet weekly at Alpha Home to offer support for one another, as well as to help and mentor current Alpha Home residential and outpatient clients. They are proof positive that treatment works!
