House Concert Party

THANK YOU for such a successful festival season. From all reports and comments, the concerts we presented were enthusiastically embraced. The Express-News Editorial Board even featured an editorial on CPMF. Here is part of what they wrote: "Three cheers for San Antonio's Cactus Pear Music Festival.... There are many reasons why San Antonio is a destination city: the Alamo, Texas history, the River Walk. But for two weeks, Cactus Pear turns San Antonio into a summer destination for musical majesty. We are lucky to have it."
YES, it was a "wow" season! The variety, the musicianship, the energy of you, our audience, as we performed our repertoire ... it was a very exciting season. Thank you for your attendance, for your support and for your praise. We couldn't do it...

Ticket revenues alone do not fully cover the costs of presenting a world-class festival that includes international artists, free community concerts and our full-scholarship Young Artist Program. For 16 complete seasons, we have always managed to stay in the black. We rely on your generous support to help us reach our goal of never running in the red. Any size gift makes a difference in reaching our goal by August 31, the end of our fiscal year. Please help us bring another season of innovative programming and outstanding artists to the stage, as well as bringing exceptional teachers to our community.
And we wouldn't want you to have to go an entire year without your fix of Cactus Pear. Take a look at our Soiree Specials VIP Patron Card. It entitles you to THREE intimate house concerts PLUS a bonus ticket to the all-Dvorak program on February 9, 2014 to be performed at Christ Episcopal Church in Monte Vista. See the concert line-up in the red banner below.

In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your summer. May it be filled with sunshine and music. And speaking of music . . .
A Small Thank You!
Stephanie wanted to leave everyone with a small reprise of the festival. If you click the following link, you'll be treated to an audio clip of Rabih Abou-Khalil's Arabian Waltzthat appeared on the second program, Into the Mystic. Enjoy listening as Stephanie, Jim Winn and Dmitri Atapine serenade you once again.
We hope to see you in October!
