Support Lawndale

Lawndale Art Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and relies on individual donations and memberships, along with government and foundation grants to support annual exhibitions and programming.

Lawndale
is participating in the new fundraising platform Power2Give sponsored by the Houston Arts Alliance. We are seeking support for our amazing exhibitions offered free throughout the year and also for the dynamic mural on the side of our building. Every donation counts no matter how large or small. Find out about how to donate to Lawndale's Power2Give projects by clicking here for exhibitions and  here for the mural.

Lawndale remembers our friend, Bert Long, Jr.  Our hearts are filled with his great love for life. Bert was a part of the Lawndale family from its earliest beginnings. He exhibited his works in countless shows, participated in numerous events and was often here to stir up lively discussions. He will be dearly missed by many.

RECORD SWAP! Listening & Lyric
Reading Party

Saturday, February 16, 2013
12 - 4 PM

In conjunction with Xochi Solis' Rivers of Our Vision exhibition, Lawndale Art Center invites the public to join us for a record swap. Using Solis' exhibition as a backdrop, the Project Space of Lawndale will be transformed into a market for your surplus LP's and excess 45's. Come with your extra copies of Pet Sounds, choose one from the crates to listen to and walk away with a new favorite! As an added bonus, we'll serenade each other with choice liner notes and poetics from pop music lyrics. This is a pure barter exchange, no money needed.
