State Health Facts has posted new data. Highlights include:
- 18 states have indicated that they will establish a state-based health insurance exchange under the Affordable Care Act, while 17 have decided that they will default to a federally-facilitated exchange.
- Teen birth rates fell 17% between 2007 and 2010; Arizona experienced the largest drop at 27%.
- 74% of Medicaid beneficiaries nationwide are enrolled in a managed care plan; in three states all Medicaid beneficiaries are in managed care plans while three states have no managed care program.
