It is just one week until the 2012 Heart Gallery of Central Texas Unveiling and Supporter Appreciation Event!  This year’s event promises to be the best ever and will be held on Thursday, September 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the beautiful Shoal Crossing Event Center at 8611 North MoPac Expressway/Loop 1, just south of 183 (Directions to the event center are shown below). Delicious hors d’oeuvres will be provided as well as fine wines donated by Twin Liquors.

The Heart Gallery of Central Texas art exhibit this year features over 100 photographs of more than 130 children. The amazing portraits showcase the talents of 40 renowned portrait and documentary photographers who capture the hearts and souls of foster children waiting for a family and a home. We will also premiere a new video, Shane: An Adoption Story, by Amy Hadley, about one of our Heart Gallery kids.

New this year is an exciting silent auction with merchandise and gift certificates from dozens of Austin’s finest retailers and restaurants. We have included a list below of all of the donors to date.  Ifyou would like to donate an item to the silent auction, we would be delighted to include it.  Just be sure to let me know by no later than tomorrow at noon.

It is not too late to make reservations and purchase tickets! Please email me as soon as possible to let me know you plan to attend. The suggested donation for each ticket is $20. As you know, all proceeds raised at the event will allow us to include more children in the Heart Gallery and help us recruit additional parents. If you have any questions regarding how to make a contribution or to request tickets, please call me at (512) 450-8608 or email me at murraychanow@adopttexas.org.
