San Antonio Sports is excited to announce registration for the upcoming season of its Dreams for Youth club volleyball program. Dreams for Youth club volleyball is open to girls ages 12-18 around the city. Registration will be held Sunday, Aug. 5 fromnoon until 2 p.m. at Harlandale High School, 114 E. Gerald Ave., andSunday, Aug. 19 from noon until 2 p.m. at McCollum High School,500 W. Formosa.
Dreams for Youth club volleyball is different from other club volleyball programs around the city because there are no tryouts. Every girl can play and is placed according to her ability. Girls have the opportunity to improve their volleyball skills while attending weekly practices in November through April, including participation in tournaments beginning in January. With access to athletic facilities, sporting equipment and skill-based instruction from an experienced coaching staff, girls will receive a better understanding of the sport, while also having fun being active.
A fee of $800 is required for participation which includes a$200 deposit due at the time of registration. All players must have a physical in order to play. Practices are held twice a week at theHarlandale High School gym and the McCollum High School gym.
