Writer's Garret is Moving!
The Writer's Garret

January, 2012

After months of speculation and inquiries, The Writer's Garret is excited to announce
that the organization will be relocating within East Dallas to a new location that
will allow us to do even more to serve the area's literary community.
Our new location is:
10809 Garland Road / Dallas / 75218

We will be in and out at La Vista over the next few weeks (more details about our
move and how you can help may be found below), but plan to have our doors fully
open on Garland Road no later than January 25th.

Saturday, January 21

from 10 AM to 5 PM

In order to transfer our offices, library and classroom to our our new location,
we are asking members of the community to pitch in. If you are interested in helping,
we are in need of the following:
+ empty boxes and / or portable storage containers
+ packing materials (tape, bubble-wrap, old newspapers, etc.)
+ hand-trucks and / or dollies
+ trucks and / or vans
+ "muscle" (aka, movers)
We will be at our current location (6115 La Vista) from
10 AM - 2 PM on the following dates if you are dropping off containers and packing
Thur., Jan. 12
Fri., Jan. 13
Mon., Jan. 16
Tues., Jan. 17
Wed., Jan. 18
Thur., Jan. 19
If you have "muscle" to lend, or are interested in offering use of your vehicle
for the transportation of furniture and other large items,
WE WILL BE MOVING all day (10 AM - 5 PM)
Saturday, January 21st.
If you are planning on being part of the moving team on the 21st, please just call
(214) 828-1715 or email us ( [])
NO LATER THAN THUR., JAN. 19 at 2 PM to let us know to expect you!  (If we're not
here, please leave a message with your name and a number or email where we can reach
you to confirm we got your message.)
Of course, our thanks in advance to everyone willing and able to make any contribution
to this effort, large or small.
