Rally Your Team!
If one of your goals for this new year includes health and wellness, join San Antonio Sports for our 2012 Corporate Cup. A new endeavor for our non-profit, the Corporate Cup is a day-long friendly competition that encourages camaraderie, wellness, charitable giving, athletic skill and volunteerism. It will be held on June 2 at the University of Incarnate Word and there are 13 events from which to choose: from golf chipping to tug of war, football toss to corn hole toss. Each team will compete in one of three divisions based upon the company’s total number of San Antonio-based employees (full and part-time). Two companies of 20 or fewer employees may combine for one entry. It promises to be lots of fun! Get your team together and sign up today.

| Volunteer of the Year |
| Almost 5,000 San Antonio Sports volunteers worked a total of 930,236 hours in 2011. And each one of them helped make our events successful. We cannot thank them enough for all their hard work. But one special volunteer stood out this year and was recognized as our Volunteer of the Year -- Linda Marie Garza. Linda Marie worked 20 of our 27 events and we could always count on her to show up and take care of details large and small. Thank you Linda Marie for your dedication and time, and thanks to all our volunteers who help us transform our community through the power of sport! |
