January, 2012The Ballet Conservatory of South Texas (BCSTX), a prominent non-profit, pre-professional ballet academy and company located in Alamo Heights has announced the appointment of Mark Richter, Director of Operational Excellence at USAA, a Fortune 500 financial services company specializing in serving the needs of the United States military and their families, to its Board of Directors.
In his role at USAA, Richter drives superior customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies through process improvement. Throughout his 15-year career at USAA, Richter has had progressive leadership experience in both operations and training. The mission of The Ballet Conservatory of South Texas (BCSTX) is to fulfill the developmental needs of serious young dancers, regardless of economic background, in a safe, nurturing and pre-professional dance company environment. BCSTX does so by raising money for scholarships, providing high quality studio education in dance and careers in dance performance and education. BCSTX is also dedicated to educating and inspiring underserved children in San Antonio through providing free tickets to the company’s performances and free lecture demonstrations in schools, social service centers and other community locations.
