October, 2011The Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Marathon and ½ Marathon is set to hit the streets of San Antonio. San Antonio Sports, our city’s not-for-profit sports commission, needs 3,300 volunteers, ages 14 and up, to assist with every aspect of the event including the Health & Fitness Expo, start line, and finish line on November 10-13, 2011. Teaming up with friends or family will make it an unforgettable experience. Each race crew volunteer receives an official race crew t-shirt, a race crew drawstring backpack, refreshments, snacks, free parking, community service hours (if needed) and the satisfaction of helping others and giving back.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Marathon and ½ Marathon’s 26.2 and 13.1-mile courses will run past many of the city’s historic sites and parks and feature 45 live bands and dozens of cheerleading teams along the route.
