In my role at Greenlights I don't have the opportunity to fundraise as much as I did in my previous life. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining! However, I still like to keep a piece of the development pie on my plate and stay informed of what’s going on in the world of fundraising. I still read my favorite blogs, subscribe to the nonprofit quarterly, and try to attend as many professional development events when possible. One of the most striking things we’ve learned so far about Central Texas boards from the data we’ve been collecting is that “fundraising” got a 4.9 out of 5 when board members were asked to rank their biggest challenges.
