The concert features Las Vegas headliner Steve Lippia, one of today’s finest interpreters of the “standards.” Music Director Miguel Harth-Bedoya conducts. It’s the perfect way to ring in the New Year!
The concert starts at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31 at Bass Performance Hall. Tickets are $29 - $80 and are available at www.fwsymphony.org or by calling 817-665-6000.
Las Vegas headliner Steve Lippia has quickly established his place among the finest interpreters of standards and traditional pop music in the nation. He has headlined in highly successful, extended engagements at the Rio Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, where audiences have lined up more than two hours before show time to vie for seating. He has performed to standing-room-only crowds at New York’s legendary Birdland Jazz Club, backed by the Nelson Riddle and Wood Herman orchestras, as well as in a highly successful European jazz festival tour that resulted in a televised special on Finnish TV2. He has appeared with the Toronto, Indianapolis, Vancouver, Cleveland, Oregon, Calgary, Austin, Tacoma, Alabama, Greensboro, Hilton Head, Winnipeg, Jacksonville, and Colorado symphony orchestras as well as the Rochester Philharmonic, Palm Beach Pops, and Louisiana Philharmonic. Lippia has also appeared on Extra, CNN’s Showbiz Today, and Fox’s Good Day New York.
