Help kids with special needs this holiday season
Metro Care

November, 2010

Holidays at Metrocare Services!
You can make a difference this holiday!

Number 1  WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
Sunday, December 19, 2010 Picture of sorting toys

The TOY RUN is one of the most fun events we do all year. It takes a LOT of volunteers to make it happen. This is the perfect service project for your church group, work team, social club or family.

Toys donated at the TOY RUN (a huge motorcycle ride with info at www.thebigtexastoyrun.com) are brought to Metrocare's administrative office (a.k.a. River Bend) where they are sorted and Wish Lists for hundreds of low-income, special needs kids are filled. Choose from one of three shifts, or stay until the job is done!

Help us unload the trucks, sort the toys, and fill Wish Lists!

No children under 12 please.

Located at 1380 River Bend Drive, Dallas, TX  75247

Three shifts to choose from:  (1) 1 - 5 p.m.   (2) 4 - 8 p.m.   (3) 7 - 10 p.m.

QUESTIONS? Contact Katie St. Clair at 214-743-1273 or katie.st.clair@metrocareservices.org

Number 2  TEEN/TODDLER TREES

Looking for an Angel Tree or Adopt a Family program? This is it!
Most gifts received from the TOY RUN are appropriate for ages 5 to 11. We need gifts for toddlers and teens too! Sponsor a Teen or Toddler Tree at your church, a local business, or with a group of friends. We supply you with ornaments for the tree (like an angel tree) and your group fills the wishes!

Please plan to have unwrapped gifts to Metrocare by December 16. Interested? Contact Lindsay Zimmerman at 214-743-1220 or lindsay.zimmerman@metrocareservices.org

Number 3  SPREAD THE WORD

Do you know of an office or group that usually does a holiday project? Forward this email and help us spread the word. With your help, we make parents feel like heroes by having something to give their kiddos on Christmas morning. Ideally no child will know the were the recipient of charity, but instead will treasure the memory of a special Christmas morning for years to come!

WHO IS METROCARE?
