Witte News:

Herb's back!

The new and improved Herb the Triceratops is back in the Dinosaurs Gallery. Herb was having a little work done … to improve his posture.

When Herb, also known as Triceratops, was first discovered in the 1880s, scientists thought his elbows should go outward, as a lizard’s do in order to support his massive bony head. And they thought his giant tail should drop straight down and drag on the ground.

More recently, evidence suggests the Triceratops may have been a more agile animal, that lived and moved in herds, and capable of bursts of speed, particularly when defending itself. So come check out Herb and his new platform!
