We are thrilled to announce a partnership with OneStar Foundation, combining the Greenlights' Crossroads Conference and the Governor's Nonprofit Leadership Conference to bring you the Texas Nonprofit Summit on September 23-24 at The Westin at the Domain in Austin, TX.

Registration is now open at a special rate of $140 for members and $160 for non-members for the first 200 registrants. After that the fees will be $165 for members and $185 for non-members. Event space is limited and we expect to sell out quickly.

The Texas Nonprofit Summit is a statewide, two-day event that will bring together more than 600 nonprofit professionals from across Texas to explore and experience collaboration, innovation, accountability and effectiveness. Conference attendees will learn about leading theories and practices impacting the nonprofit sector from Dan Pallotta, a nonprofit innovation leader and author of Uncharitable: How Restraints on Nonprofits Undermine Their Potential, and Vinay Bhagat, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Convio, Inc., as well as other nationally recognized experts in the nonprofit sector.

As the mother of a three-year-old with a love for action figures, I do a lot of cleaning up for company. Luckily, we have the IKEA Trofast system, which makes it easy to quickly throw Batman and Wonder Woman into the superhero bucket and Buzz Lightyear into the Toy Story bucket. And I am pretty good at putting everything else in the house into a neat-looking stack relatively quickly. But when it comes to getting ready for new leadership, it's not always so fast or simple.
