Website for Early Music SA
Earlu Music San Antonio

April, 2010

www.earlymusicsa.org

Dear Early Music friend,

We are back online!

Starting this weekend, with the new ensemble Antigua Tejas, and next with the Austin Troubadours, you can once again find out what's happening in Early Music in San Antonio, in one convenient place.

Thanks to your generosity, the site is restored, and with continued help, features can be added to improve our ability to communicate and publicize the site.

This is an audience-driven website, maintained by volunteers, promoting awareness of concerts, workshops, services, meetings, and other Early Music events within striking distance of San Antonio.

As the upcoming season takes shape, please list your early music events, check the calendar before scheduling, and help spread the word about this resource.

Listing Your Events

Go to www.earlymusicsa.org and click on the tab “Add Your Event” to fill in the form.

The Description will hold about 40 words, and the site administrator will edit as necessary. Be sure to give us a way to contact you for questions.

Scheduling Your Event

Before scheduling a new event, check the link, “View Full Calendar of Events” that appears below the three Next Events on the left. Navigate to the month you want with the Next Month link above the calendar grid. This will help avoid conflicts, and the audience will thank you. We wait weeks sometimes for something to attend, and we hate having to choose when everything happens at the same time. And you deserve the full audience!

Spreading the Word

Presenting, performing, attending, or seeking, you have a role in making this site a complete community resource. Please forward the link to your members, mailing list, or anyone you think would be interested, and please check the site often for new events.

Proposed improvements to the site include the ability to connect with social media sites, a Paypal button, and the ability to communicate with interested site visitors through email alerts and newsletters.

To help with this work, please send your donation to:

No amount is too small to make a big difference. Early Music San Antonio is a Texas nonprofit corporation. As we apply for tax-exempt status with the IRS, and later for grant support, having many small donations from individuals can be even more important than having one or two large ones, for showing that our work is valued in the community. Your participation is most important and valued, and by helping now, you will gain a personal stake in helping to rebuild this essential community resource.

Please forward this to your own audience members, supporters, and anyone else you know who might be moved to help. Thank you for supporting earlymusicsa.org!

Thank you,

Early Music San Antonio
