KLRN & San Antonio Children’s Museum present

Passport Back To School

Join Ruff Ruffman, star of the hit PBS show FETCH!, for a fun adventure at the San Antonio Children’s Museum!

Kids will receive a passport to have stamped as they visit stations in the museum. Once their passport is full, they will receive a school supply goody bag to take home!

Saturday, August 8

9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Admission is FREE during event.

FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman airs on KLRN Ch 9 Monday – Thursday at 5pm.

 

MacroLab: Monthly Programming Supporting Sciences

Planting with Polymers

Pot your own plant with the San Antonio Master Gardeners and learn how polymers help plants to live in dry conditions.

Saturday, August 8

11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Program Fee:     $3.00 per child (includes supplies) + $7 museum admission

No reservation necessary. Limited availability. While supplies last. Members pay ONLY program fee.

 

FREE KIDS NIGHT!

Thursday, August 20

Kids are free between 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Kids will receive a coin for a FREE Blue Bell Milkshake at EZ’s!

$1 parking

Parking available with Children’s Museum validation between 5pm-8pm at the Mid City garage located on the corner of Navarro and College St. Please bring your parking ticket into the museum to receive validation! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adult admission is $7

Recommended Ages 1-4

Dots and Squiggles is an early childhood program created and taught by experienced early childhood educators. Fun and engaging lessons encourage children to experience a wide variety of activities that incorporate art, sensory exploration, movement, music, story time, and dramatic play.

Seeds of Learning (SOL) is an Early Childhood Education program that introduces children ages 2-3 years to activities that support them in their development and nurture them to sprout, grow, and blossom.

Recommended Ages 3-5

Reading Adventures is an early childhood program created and taught by experienced early childhood educators. The program strengthens language, listening and motor skills through story time, pretend dramatic play and multisensory activities.

The San Antonio Children’s Museum provides engaging hands-on experiences where Kids Play to Learn and Adults Learn to Play! The museum offers three floors of interactive exhibits, including the H-E-B Kids’ Market, the bubble ranch, newly opened PowerBall Hall and weekly science and arts activities for children ages birth to ten.  Weekly drop-in programs include: Reading Adventures: Wednesdays 10:30 a.m., FETCH! Science experiments: Fridays 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. & Saturdays NOON-4pm, Dots and Squiggles Early Childhood Education: Fridays 10 a.m., FREE KIDS’ NIGHT Every THIRD Thursday 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
