20 Texas arts organizations receive $825,000 from the NEA

The National Endowment for the Arts has awarded close to $29.8 million to more than six hundred arts organizations around the country as part of the $50 million in federal aid set aside for the NEA in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The following nonprofit arts organizations are receiving grants to support the preservation of jobs that are threatened by declines in philanthropic and other support during the current economic downturn.
